Senior Support Workers (Milton)

Ref: SSWM1

Salary: £9.74 per hour

Location: Milton, Cambridgeshire

Hours: Full time 35 hours per week

Due to internal promotions to the Team Leader role, we are recruiting for Senior support workers who can lead by example and direct teams in delivering high quality person centred support.

This is an exciting position and is mainly based in one team but with variation. When we are asked to support new people the senior support workers are our “superstars” who will get involved in setting up the new service.

You will be involved in developing and writing support plans, mentoring and training new staff, and establishing robust links for people we support in their local communities.

If you are passionate about getting the support right for people, can coach and mentor staff with confidence and enjoy a challenge and a change at times this could be the right job for you.

Our Senior Support Workers are part of the management teams within our existing services and play a key role in setting up new services. You will have the confidence and resourcefulness to adapt quickly to new situations, ensuring support needs are met and supporting staff to develop appropriate skills. Reporting to Service Managers, you will ensure that services are delivered which value individuals and respond to their needs.

Team Leader (Milton)

We are looking for a team leader to join our expanding team in Milton, Cambridgeshire.

You will leading be a team who supports a service supporting 5 people we support. We support some amazing people in our brand new homes. The people we support have learning disabilities, and some have physical disabilities, so they require aid with their mobility and require specialist equipment which makes getting around easier.

Currently we have five residents living in a supported living house, so it really is their home. The support we give is person centred, which means that individual personal choices are accommodated for, and respected.

Experience in supporting people who present with challenging behaviour is preferred.

Do you have the necessary leadership skills to help us deliver our high quality services for people with learning disabilities?

We are looking for Team Leaders who are person centred, inventive, proactive and passionate about making a difference. We need team leaders to have confidence and resilience and be great organisers.

Accounts Assistant (Part-Time, Fixed-Term)

20 hours per week

Salary £15,531 – £16,566 (pro-rata)

Fixed Term to 31st March 2019

Based at our offices in Waterbeach, Cambridge

We are seeking a flexible, enthusiastic and self-motivated Accounts Assistant to support our Sales Ledger Coordinator with a wide range of routine finance tasks.

Administrative and IT experience (Word and Excel) and experience of Sage or other accounting software would be desirable but is not essential.

The position is fixed term to 31 March 2019 and we are looking for somebody to start as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities:

  • Raise sales ledger invoices on a regular basis, to ensure customer receipt within one week of the work being completed.
  • Post receipts in the ledger in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist the Sales Ledger Co-ordinator in working with internal staff to identify invoicing information errors.
  • Undertake e-filing and keep clear records to ensure information is readily available to all members of the Finance function.
  • Post journals including invoices for the people we support.
  • Handle incoming cash and cheques and prepare banking.
  • Raise re-charge invoices for the people we support.
  • Assist the Sales Ledger Co-ordinator with credit control to ensure debtor days are within target.
  • Undertake any routine, day to day tasks that are required by the Finance function.

Corporate Compliance

  • Undertake training as requested by the Company.
  • Adhere to and promote the Company’s policies, including Health and Safety and Equality and Diversity.
  • Adhere to confidentiality and security of information at all times and in line with the Data Protection Act and company protocols.
  • Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested from time to time.
